Tech billionaire Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, has been accused of sexually abusing five of his children and stepchildren over a period spanning more than three decades, according to a shocking investigation by the New York Times.

The report suggested that the disturbing allegations may shed light on why Elon Musk, who briefly served as an adviser to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, rarely speaks publicly about his father. According to Guardian US, members of the Musk family reportedly reached out to Elon for help on multiple occasions, prompting him to intervene at certain times.

Errol Musk, 79, strongly rejected the accusations, dismissing them as “nonsense” and “false.”

Citing letters, emails, interviews, and official documents, the New York Times reported that Errol Musk, who has fathered at least nine children and stepchildren across three marriages, “maintains a powerful grip over much of the family.”

Court and police records reviewed by the outlet revealed that the first accusation dates back to 1993, when a four-year-old stepdaughter alleged that Errol had touched her inappropriately at their home. Ten years later, the same stepdaughter claimed that he was caught sniffing her dirty underwear.

The Times further reported that he was later accused of abusing two biological daughters and a stepson. In total, three law enforcement investigations were launched, with two reportedly ending without further action. The outcome of the third investigation remains unclear.

“There was no evidence because this is nonsense,” Errol Musk told the New York Times. He insisted that “the reports are false” and accused family members of “putting the children up to say false things” as part of a broader attempt to extort Elon, his eldest son.

While Elon Musk declined to respond to the New York Times’ request for comment, his strained relationship with his father has long been a subject of speculation.

In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, Elon described his father as having done “almost every evil thing you could possibly think of.”

Reflecting on his childhood, Elon recalled: “I felt sorry for my father, because my mother had all three kids. He seemed very sad and lonely by himself. So I thought, ‘I can be company.’”

However, the billionaire said he quickly realized his misjudgment: “I didn’t really understand at the time what kind of person he was … It was not a good idea.”

In the same interview, Elon added a chilling description of Errol Musk’s character: “My dad will have a carefully thought-out plan of evil. He will plan evil.”

The New York Times report underscores deep fractures within the Musk family, shaped by decades of allegations and bitter disputes. While Errol Musk continues to maintain his innocence, the accusations stretching back over 30 years have cast a long shadow over one of the world’s most famous families.

Elon Musk, one of the most powerful figures in technology and global business, remains publicly silent on the fresh wave of allegations that continue to haunt his father’s legacy.
