GLOBAL TENSIONS ESCALATE AS RUSSIA WARNS ISRAEL AGAINST MILITARY STRIKE ON IRAN, FLAGS RISK OF WORLD WAR AS MISSILE DISPUTE INTENSIFIES
Russia has issued a grave warning to Israel over rising tensions surrounding Iran’s ballistic missile programme, cautioning that any further military action against Tehran could spark a global conflict with far-reaching consequences.
The warning surfaced through a post shared by World Affair on its verified social media account, coming at a time when Israel is reportedly preparing for high-level engagements with former United States President Donald Trump over potential plans for another strike on Iran.
According to the report, Moscow advised Israel to stay clear of Iran, stressing that continued military aggression could escalate beyond the Middle East and spiral into a third world war. The alert underscores growing anxiety among major global powers over the increasingly fragile security situation in the region, following months of heightened hostilities involving Israel, Iran, and their respective allies.
This development coincides with reports that Israeli officials are set to meet Trump to deliberate on Iran’s advancing ballistic missile capabilities. Israel has consistently described Iran’s missile programme as a direct threat to its national security and has vowed to block Tehran from strengthening its military and strategic infrastructure.
Israeli authorities have also made it clear that military options remain under consideration should diplomatic and economic measures fail to restrain Iran’s ambitions. This posture has heightened international concern, especially as the region remains volatile and heavily militarised.
Russia, a close ally of Iran and a major global power with expanding influence in the Middle East, has maintained a firm stance against unilateral military action targeting Tehran. Moscow has repeatedly warned that further strikes could destabilise the entire region and draw multiple global actors into the conflict.
Russian officials have emphasized that any escalation would risk transforming a regional standoff into a worldwide confrontation, urging restraint, sustained dialogue, and strict adherence to international law as the only viable path to preventing catastrophic outcomes.
