How Can A Self-respecting Public Figure Talk Like This? – ADC Chieftain, Abdullahi Blasts Okpehbolo
The spokesman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bolaji Abdullahi, has slammed Edo State Governor, Monday Okpehbolo, over a recent comment on northern kidnappings.
The Eye Opener News reports that Okpebholo, on Wednesday, had linked the ongoing kidnappings and killings in the northern parts of the country to a deliberate, sinister plot to destabilise Nigeria and undermine the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Okpebholo also linked the current insecurity to similar incidents during former President, Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in 2015, stressing that the federal government also knew their tricks and moves are connected to the 2027 election.
Reacting, Abdullahi, in a post via his 𝕏 on Sunday, described Okpehbolo’s comment as not only careless but disturbing.
The ADC chieftain noted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) government is busy spinning fancy conspiracy theories when families are still crying, waiting, and begging for the release of their children.
He said, “Governor Monday Okpebholo’s comments are not just careless, they are disturbing. Families are still crying, still waiting, still begging for their children to come home. Instead of giving them answers, this APC government is busy spinning fancy conspiracy theories.
“This is a real shame and a big problem. We can now see the sort of thinking that goes on within the APC. When government replaces hard evidence and real intelligence with baseless accusations and conspiracy theories, you know that we have a serious problem.
“By the way, does this Governor realise that the person that led the weaponisation of insecurity to discredit GEJ is the same man that is in power today?
