IDF STRIKES IN RAFAH ELIMINATE TOP HAMAS COMMAND FIGURES, INCLUDING SENIOR COMMANDER’S SON
Overnight airstrikes carried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Rafah have neutralized four high-profile Hamas operatives, including key members of the group’s local leadership structure.
According to information released by the IDF Nahal Brigade Command, the operation successfully took out the Hamas battalion commander overseeing Rafah operations. His deputy was also eliminated, alongside a company commander who played a strategic role in coordinating militant activities in the area.
The fourth casualty, identified as the son of senior Hamas figure Ghazi Hamad, was reported to be directly involved in the group’s operational network within the enclave.
The IDF described the precision strikes as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle Hamas’ command hierarchy and disrupt militant capabilities in southern Gaza. The overnight operation marks one of the most significant blows to Hamas’ Rafah command structure in recent w
