Isiala Ngwa South Council of Chiefs and Village Heads Pledge Support for Governor Alex Otti’s Second Term, Endorse LGA Chairman, Hon. Nwaogwugwu’s Development Agenda

The Isiala Ngwa South Council of Community Chiefs and Village Heads on Tuesday held a remarkable general meeting that reaffirmed its unity, purpose, and commitment toward grassroots development and good governance.

The meeting, which took place at the Umuachiri-Umuapu Community Council Hall, was hosted by the Ovungwu/Ovuokwu Block of the council and had in attendance the State Chairman of the Council of Community Chiefs and Village Heads, Oke-Nze Kingsley Egwuatu, who presided over the deliberations.

Adding colour and prestige to the event was the presence of one of Ngwa land’s most revered elder statesmen and traditional icons, Oke-Nze Innocent Orih (Ọchị-Ala Ngwa I / Nna Oha Ngwa I), who graced the gathering as a special guest. His appearance was described as symbolic of wisdom, unity, and continuity in Ngwa traditional leadership.

Discussions at the meeting were centered on strengthening cooperation with the Executive Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area, Hon. Nnadozie Nwaogwugwu, and aligning with his purposeful administrative agenda aimed at ensuring inclusive development and effective governance across all villages and communities in the local government area.

In a communiqué jointly signed by High Chief Ijeoma Arimadu (Local Government Chairman of the council), Hon. Nzubechi Onyenma (Council Secretary), and Chief Obimba Azubuike (Media and Public Relations Officer), the council pledged its full support to the state government, assuring of their readiness to collaborate in the execution of community development initiatives.

The council further endorsed the re-election of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, for a second term in office, citing his transformational leadership, commitment to transparency, and people-oriented governance that have positively impacted every part of Abia State, including Isiala Ngwa South.

The meeting witnessed a large turnout of community leaders, village heads, and traditional chiefs, all of whom commended the renewed synergy between the traditional institutions and the local government authorities in promoting peace, progress, and development in the area.
