Nura Hussaini, a close political ally of Kano lawmaker, Engr. Sagir Ibrahim Koki from Kano Municipal, has stepped down as Special Adviser on Commerce to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Although he did not publicly give a reason for his resignation, there were reports that it may be linked to plans to join the APC along with his boss, member of the House of Representatives for Kano Municipal Federal Constituency, Engr. Sagir Ibrahim Koki,.

Recently, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso voiced frustration with some NNPP lawmakers whom he accused of mingling with APC members and neglecting the trademark red cap of the Kwankwasiyya Movement.

“We are watching them, and we will deal with them,” Kwankwaso warned.

There are also reports that some NNPP lawmakers from Nassarawa, Kumbotso, Gwale, and other constituencies are considering joining the APC in the coming weeks.
