NDC Strengthens Media Team, Appoints Agada Abuh Theophilus and Brian Dennis to Strategic Communications Roles
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the appointment of two seasoned communications professionals, Agada Abuh Theophilus and Brian Dennis, to key positions within its media and strategic communications structure as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s engagement with Nigerians across traditional and digital platforms.
According to a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, Agada Abuh Theophilus has been appointed as the Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, while Brian Dennis will serve as the Deputy Director of New Media and Strategic Communications.
The appointments underscore the party’s commitment to enhancing its public communication strategy and expanding its reach through innovative media engagement.
Agada Abuh Theophilus, widely known on social media as @TheoAbuAgada, is a strategic communications professional with extensive experience spanning political campaigns, corporate brand management, institutional public relations, and new media. An Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), he holds a Master of Arts degree in Development Communications, specializing in strategic communication for social and institutional development. He is also currently pursuing a PhD with a research focus on election administration and management.
His vast experience in communications and political engagement is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the party’s messaging and strengthening its visibility in the nation’s political landscape.
Also joining the communications team is Brian Dennis, known online as @XBrianDennis, who has been appointed Deputy Director of New Media and Strategic Communications. Dennis is a communications analyst with seven years of experience in strategic and political communications. He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution and has built a reputation for providing insightful communication strategies and political analysis.
The NDC expressed confidence in the capacity of both appointees to drive its communication objectives and reinforce the party’s connection with citizens across the country.
The party stated that it is excited to welcome the duo and looks forward to the energy, expertise, and fresh perspectives they bring to its communications efforts. It further noted that their leadership is expected to strengthen the party’s voice, enhance its media presence, and deepen engagement with Nigerians across every communication platform.
