Nigeria Customs Service Releases Final List of Successful Candidates for 2024/2025 Recruitment
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has officially released the final list of successful candidates for appointment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II) under its 2024/2025 nationwide recruitment exercise, marking the beginning of the next phase of the highly anticipated recruitment process.
The announcement was made on Monday in Abuja by the Service’s National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, who urged all applicants to immediately verify their recruitment status through the official Nigeria Customs Service website or designated national newspapers.
The recruitment exercise attracted massive interest from Nigerians, with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reporting that the Service received 573,523 applications after advertising 3,927 vacancies across the Superintendent, Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres on December 27, 2024. The overwhelming response underscores the growing demand for employment opportunities within the country’s paramilitary agencies.
According to the Customs Service, successful candidates will receive detailed instructions through their registered email addresses and SMS notifications outlining the next steps in the recruitment process.
Candidates who receive the notification are required to log in to the designated recruitment portal using either their National Identification Number (NIN) or their registered email address to upload a valid Medical Certificate of Fitness issued by a government-recognised hospital.
The Service disclosed that the portal for uploading medical certificates will become active on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and applicants are expected to complete the process within one week of the portal’s activation.
In addition to uploading the medical certificate, successful applicants must update their current state of residence on the portal and formally accept the provisional offer of appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button.
Upon successful completion of these requirements, candidates will receive their Trainee Identification Number within one week. The Nigeria Customs Service also assured applicants that further information regarding documentation, physical screening, screening venues, dates and other necessary requirements will be communicated through its official channels.
The Service cautioned all successful candidates to strictly comply with every requirement and timeline, warning that failure to meet any of the stipulated conditions or deadlines could lead to immediate disqualification and the forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment.
On behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB), the Comptroller-General congratulated all successful candidates, wishing them success as they prepare to begin their careers in the Nigeria Customs Service and contribute to the nation’s customs administration and border security.
