Poco Lee’s Team Urges Public Restraint as U.K Court Case Sparks Misinformation Concerns
The management and legal team of Nigerian dancer and entertainer Poco Lee have appealed to the public and media to exercise restraint over allegations involving the entertainer, saying the matter is currently before a court in the United Kingdom.
In an official statement issued on August 25, 2026, the team said it was aware of the growing public discussion surrounding the case but stressed that the allegations should not be mistaken for proof of guilt.
According to the statement, the matter is now subject to legal proceedings, making it important for members of the public, media organisations and other interested parties to avoid drawing conclusions before the court has had the opportunity to hear and determine the case.
The management expressed particular concern over what it described as a growing volume of unverified narratives circulating online about the incident. It specifically warned against the introduction of claims, including allegations relating to drink spiking, which it said do not form part of the allegations or charges currently before the court.
The team maintained that spreading details that are not connected to the actual case could fuel misinformation and create unfair prejudice against the parties involved.
It further emphasised that Poco Lee, like every other individual facing legal proceedings, is entitled to a fair hearing and due process, insisting that the outcome of the case should be determined by the court rather than public opinion or speculation.
The management and legal team said further information would be provided through official channels when appropriate, while thanking the public for their understanding and restraint as the legal process
continues.
