Police arrest two suspected drug barons in Delta, recover illicit drugs 

Operatives of the Quick Response Squads, QRRS have arrested two suspected drug barons and two others just and recovered large quantities of illicit drugs in Sapele, Delta State.

The suspects are 28-year-old Bemigho Omoghomi and 46-year old Onoriode Samuel.

They were arrested 03/01/2026 and 5/01/2026 respectively.

Delta State Police Command led by CP Aina Adesola confirmed the report in a statement by Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe.

The Police Image maker said,”On 03/01/2026 and 5/01/2026, operatives of the Quick Response Squad, acting on intelligence, stormed and raided a black spot located at New Road by Ewereto Junction, Sapele, and Agofure Park in Effurun Roundabout, Warri, Delta State, where some suspected drug barons were arrested, identified as Bemigho Omoghomi ‘m’, aged 28 years old, Onoriode Samuel ‘m’, 46 years and two other suspects. Large quantities of Illicit drugs were recovered from them.”

According to SP Edafe,”the suspects are in custody and investigation is ongoing.”
