President Donald Trump has claimed that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene resigned because she lost presidential support.

DAILY POST earlier reported that Rep. Greene of Georgia announced she would resign from Congress after a clash with Trump.

Her decision marked the climax of her disagreement with Trump and the Republican leadership, as she maintained a hardline stance during the longest government shutdown in the nation’s history.

Reacting, Trump said the congresswoman would not have survived a primary election without his backing.

He, however, described Rep. Greene as a nice person.

“Once I left her, she resigned because she never would have survived a primary. But I think she’s a nice person”, he said.
