2027: Primate Ayodele Predicts Possible Change In Presidency If Tinubu Wins Second Term, Says Shettima Could Take Over
Primate Elijah Ayodele, founder and leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has made a fresh prediction concerning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the 2027 presidential election, suggesting that a victory for the President could be followed by an unexpected change in Nigeria’s leadership.
In a statement reported on September 22 and 23, 2026, Ayodele predicted that if Tinubu secures re-election in 2027, he may not complete the full four-year tenure of a second term.
According to the cleric, Vice President Kashim Shettima could eventually assume the presidency under circumstances that he likened to the political developments surrounding the administration of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
Yar’Adua, who became president in 2007, died in office in May 2010 after a prolonged period of illness. His death resulted in then-Vice President Goodluck Jonathan assuming the presidency.
Ayodele’s latest prediction appeared to draw a parallel with that historical episode, raising the possibility of another transition from a sitting president to his vice president during a future administration.
