The Executive Chairman of Aba North Local Government Area, Hon. Timothy Kalu Iheke, on Tuesday visited the Eziama Police Station in Aba to inspect the ongoing reconstruction works being carried out by his administration at the facility.

The project, which includes the rebuilding of blocks of toilets and the reinforcement of the station’s perimeter fence, was initiated by the chairman last month following his discovery of the deplorable state of key structures within the police station. Determined to restore a conducive working environment for security personnel, Hon. Iheke personally took the initiative to intervene.

During the inspection visit, the chairman observed that the station’s water tanks had become unserviceable due to long-term neglect. He assured the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of his administration’s continued support to ensure that the renovation project is successfully completed and the station restored to optimal condition.

Hon. Iheke was accompanied on the inspection tour by the Councillor representing Rumuola Ward 8, Hon. Godwill Ogbonnaya; the Supervisory Councillor for Works, Hon. Okeoma Nwogbe; and the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Anthony Uche Nge.

The visit underscores the chairman’s hands-on leadership approach and his administration’s unwavering commitment to strengthening local security infrastructure for the benefit of residents in Aba North and beyond.
