KING CHARLES STRIPS PRINCE ANDREW OF ROYAL TITLES, HONOURS, AND ROYAL LODGE RESIDENCE
…as Buckingham Palace Announces Formal Removal of Duke of York’s Remaining Privileges
In a decisive move signaling a new chapter for the British Royal Family, Buckingham Palace has officially announced that King Charles III has initiated a formal process to strip Prince Andrew of all remaining royal styles, titles, and honours.
According to an official statement issued by Royal Communications on Thursday, Prince Andrew will henceforth be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, marking the complete withdrawal of his royal status.
The Palace further confirmed that his lease on Royal Lodge, the residence he has occupied for several years, has been formally terminated. The property, which had provided the embattled royal with legal grounds to remain within the Windsor estate, will now be vacated as Andrew relocates to private accommodation.
“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him,” the statement read.
While the Palace did not directly reference the nature of the allegations, the move follows years of public controversy surrounding Prince Andrew’s association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Buckingham Palace emphasized that Their Majesties’ thoughts and utmost sympathies remain with the victims and survivors of all forms of abuse, underscoring the Royal Family’s continued commitment to accountability and moral integrity.
The unprecedented decision effectively ends Prince Andrew’s formal role within the British monarchy and symbolizes a firm stance by King Charles on restoring trust in the Royal Family’s
public image.
