ANTICIPATION BUILDS AS ENGR. CHIBUZO ESIHE FOUNDATION SET TO HOST 2025 CHRISTMAS FOOTBALL COMPETITION IN ISIALA NGWA SOUTH

Excitement is rising across Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area as preparations reach top gear for the annual Chibuzo Esihe Foundation Football Competition, scheduled to kick off on December 15, 2025, and conclude on January 3, 2026, at the Amaede Primary School Field, Umuotiri Amator, in Amaitolu Autonomous Community, Isiala Ngwa South, Abia State.

The much-anticipated event, which has over the years become a unifying sporting festival in the area, promises to be thrilling, entertaining, and impactful as both male and female teams will compete for glory and mouthwatering cash prizes.

This year’s competition will feature attractive rewards including ₦500,000 for the first-position male team and ₦200,000 for the second-place male team. The female category will also see ₦500,000 for the winning team and ₦200,000 for the runners-up.

In addition to the major prizes, outstanding players will be recognized in several categories, including Best Player, Highest Goal Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, and Best Team.

The competition is proudly sponsored by Engr. Chibuzo Esihe, MNSE, a passionate youth and community development advocate, who once served as Scheduler to the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR). Despite resigning from his government position, Engr. Esihe has continued to empower individuals across Abia State and beyond, with a special focus on youths and students.

The yearly football tournament, an initiative under the Chibuzo Esihe Foundation, continues to serve as a platform for discovering local football talents, promoting unity, and fostering community development during the festive season.
