Sen. Barau Jibrin Declares States Delivering Highest Votes for President Tinubu Will Receive More Federal Projects Ahead of 2027 Elections
The Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, has made a bold statement linking federal development projects to voter support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 elections.
Speaking on Monday during the high-profile endorsement ceremony for President Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umar Radda in Katsina, Senator Jibrin emphasized the rewards awaiting states that demonstrate overwhelming support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said: “I want to assure you that any state that re-elected President Tinubu with highest votes would be given more projects in the next administration.”
Senator Jibrin further lauded President Tinubu’s performance, noting that the administration has delivered meaningful developments nationwide despite inheriting poor economic structures and challenging conditions from previous governments.
He stressed the need for Tinubu’s re-election, citing the President’s “exemplary leadership in all sectors of development.”
“I am working closely with Mr President and I see his physical performance within the period of 3 years,” he added, underlining the tangible achievements witnessed across the country.
Addressing Nigerians, Senator Barau urged citizens to avoid political experimentation and remain loyal to the APC at all levels. He highlighted the party’s current dominance, stating, “the APC is leading with 29 governors which is a clear indication of success in the coming elections.”
The endorsement event in Katsina was marked by overwhelming support from party loyalists, setting the tone for what Senator Barau described as “a strong momentum towards ensuring the continuity of President Tinubu’s developmental agenda.”
