ASTOPU Aba Zone Chairman, Hon. Victor Azubuike Announces Painful Exit of Elder Brother, Late Emmanuel Ugochukwu Azubuike, as Family Unveils Burial Arrangements
The Chairman of the Abia State Tricycle Operators Union (ASTOPU), Aba Zone, Hon. Victor Azubuike, has formally announced the passing of his elder brother, Late Emmanuel Ugochukwu Azubuike, in what has been described as a deeply painful loss to the family and community.
The bereavement was made public by the Azubuike family of Umuamadi Village in Egbelu Mbutu Community, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, who expressed profound grief over the departure of a man remembered as a devoted husband, caring father, dependable brother, and respected member of his extended family.
Late Emmanuel Ugochukwu Azubuike’s passing has cast a solemn mood over his community, where he was known for his strong family values and quiet contributions to communal life. His death marks a significant loss not only to his immediate family but also to those who knew him closely.
In honour of his life and legacy, the family has released a detailed burial programme scheduled to hold on Friday, April 24, 2026, at his compound in Umuamadi Village.
According to the arrangements, the body of the deceased will depart the mortuary by 9:00 a.m. and be received at his residence, where he will lie in state at 10:00 a.m., giving family members, friends, and well-wishers the opportunity to pay their final respects.
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at his compound, to be conducted by the United Evangelical Church, Amapu Umuoha, after which interment will take place by 1:00 p.m.
The announcement, signed on behalf of the family by Bright Udochukwu Emmanuel, calls on sympathisers and associates to join in honouring the memory of the late patriarch as he is laid to rest.
As preparations continue, tributes have begun to pour in from friends, associates, and members of the transport union, many of whom have described the loss as both personal and collective.
The family, while mourning, holds firm in faith and hope, praying for the peaceful repose of his soul and strength to bear the irreplaceable loss.
