She once served as the Councillor representing Ehi-Na-Guru/Osokwa Ward 5, the very ward of the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR. In that role, she broke barriers as the first female Councillor from the ward. Today, she continues to serve as the Women Leader of the Labour Party in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area.

Remarkably, Mrs. Orih’s trailblazing spirit stretches beyond the Labour Party. She made history by becoming the first woman in Isiala Ngwa South to consecutively hold the position of Women Leader across three major political parties – the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the All Progressives Congress (APC), and now the Labour Party (LP). This rare feat underscores her consistency, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment and grassroots development.
