Aba North Council Boss, Hon. Timothy Iheke Extends Grassroots Progress Assessment to Multiple Wards, Announces Stakeholder Empowerment Engagement
In his ongoing mission to evaluate the strength and effectiveness of grassroots political mobilization under the Abia Arise Political Structure, the Executive Chairman of Aba North Local Government Area, Hon. Timothy Kalu Iheke, continued his unscheduled assessment tour across additional wards within the LGA.
Following his surprise appearance at the Ariaria Ward 09 meeting, Hon. Iheke proceeded on similar assessment visits to Eziama Ward 01, Umuola Ward 08, Ogbor II Ward 11, and Old GRA Ward 07, where he interacted directly with members, coordinators, and ward stakeholders.
According to Hon. Iheke, the visits are targeted at evaluating the level of progress, commitment, unity, mobilisation capacity, and administrative coordination across wards under the Abia Arise platform. He stressed that the strength of any political structure lies heavily in its grassroots foundation and that continuous monitoring, motivation, and improvement remain key measures for sustained relevance and impact.
During the visits, Hon. Iheke issued a directive to the coordinators of each ward to nominate four active ward stakeholders who will participate in a special empowerment and engagement meeting scheduled for next week Tuesday at his office. He described this initiative as a strategic step aimed at building capacity, encouraging responsibility, and rewarding dedication within the movement.
The LGA boss expressed satisfaction with the level of attendance and coordination witnessed in some wards, while also recommending additional improvements for others. He assured that the Abia Arise structure will continue to receive institutional support, leadership guidance, and operational strengthening aimed at aligning its activities with the developmental vision of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.
Meanwhile, Hon. Iheke reaffirmed that similar visits will continue until all wards are fully evaluated, documented, and aligned with the expected standards of commitment, loyalty, and service-driven mob
ilization.
