ABA SOUTH COUNCIL BOSS, HON. OBIALOR ANYANWU ENGAGES TECHRISE COHORT 2 PARTICIPANTS, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND DIGITAL INNOVATION IN ABA SOUTH
The Executive Chairman of Aba South Local Government Area, Hon. Obialor Denis Anyanwu, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, had an inspiring face-to-face interaction with participants of the Abia State TechRise Cohort 2 program, urging them to take full advantage of the life-changing digital training opportunity to shape a prosperous future for themselves and contribute meaningfully to the state’s growing tech ecosystem.
The TechRise initiative, an innovation-driven empowerment program of the Abia State Government, is designed to equip young Abians with globally relevant digital skills that will make them competitive in today’s fast-evolving technological landscape. The program offers intensive training in areas such as Full-Stack Development, Mobile App Development, Data Engineering, and Cybersecurity, among others. Participants also enjoy benefits including free laptops, accommodation, and post-training job placement assistance.
Addressing the young innovators, Mayor Anyanwu commended their zeal and determination, charging them to remain focused, dedicated, and disciplined throughout the training process. He emphasized that the knowledge they are acquiring has the power to change not only their personal destinies but also the socioeconomic narrative of Aba and Abia State at large.
The Aba South Mayor described the TechRise program as a clear reflection of Governor Alex Otti’s vision to position Abia as a regional hub for digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and youth-driven development. He lauded the Otti-led administration for its forward-thinking investment in digital literacy, which he said is the key to unlocking sustainable economic growth and creating opportunities for young people to thrive in the digital age.
Hon. Anyanwu assured the participants of his administration’s continuous support and promised to maintain an enabling environment for innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship to flourish within Aba South. He also pledged to maintain close contact with the trainees, offering mentorship and further encouragement to ensure they reach their full potential.
The session ended on a high note, with the participants expressing deep appreciation for the Chairman’s presence, guidance, and words of motivation. They described the meeting as both inspiring and reassuring, as it reaffirmed the government’s genuine commitment to youth empowerment and technological advancement.
