ABIA–TURKEY INVESTMENT SUMMIT TO OPEN TODAY, TUESDAY NOV. 25, 2025, AS GOV. OTTI SETS STAGE FOR EXPANDED GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS
Abia State is set to host a high-level international investment forum as Governor Alex Chioma Otti prepares to officially declare open the Abia–Turkey Investment Summit on Tuesday, November 25. The three-day summit, which will run until November 27 at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, marks a major step in the state’s drive to attract foreign direct investment and deepen global economic partnerships.
The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, revealed the development on Monday during a press briefing on the outcomes of this week’s State Executive Council Meeting presided over by Governor Otti. He described the summit as a strategic platform designed to transform Abia into a magnet for investors seeking new markets, industrial collaboration, and long-term commercial opportunities.
According to the Information Commissioner, the summit will spotlight Abia’s vast investment potential while strengthening bilateral trade relations between Nigeria and Turkey. The event will also feature exhibitions cutting across critical economic sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture, textiles, leather works, energy, and infrastructure, among others.
He noted that the gathering will bring together Turkish investors, Nigerian business leaders, government agencies, development partners, and various stakeholders to explore partnerships capable of accelerating industrial growth, boosting exports, and expanding job opportunities for Abians.
With preparations in top gear, the Abia–Turkey Investment Summit is expected to consolidate the state’s rising profile as a preferred destination for business, innovation, and international economic collaboration under Governor Otti’s reform-driven lea
dership.
