A shocking incident in Yavapai County, Arizona, has led to the resignation of a local judge after she was caught on police bodycam allegedly urinating in public near a courthouse in the early hours of the morning.

Bodycam footage obtained by Fox 10 shows Judge Pro Tempore Kristyne Schaaf-Olson in a compromising situation, appearing to relieve herself in the street close to the courthouse at around 1:30 a.m. on October 4.

The video captures the moment a police officer approaches the judge and questions her actions. When asked what she was doing, Schaaf-Olson responded, “I’m waiting… Uber.”

Moments later, her husband appeared on the scene and attempted to defuse the situation, insisting that “it wasn’t her” when the officer accused the judge of “puking and urinating, exposing herself to several people.”

According to the official police report, the judge showed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and unsteady movement. The report further revealed that her husband became confrontational with law enforcement officers, leading to him being cited for resisting arrest, interfering with a crime scene investigation, and obstruction of government operations.

Following the embarrassing episode and public release of the footage, Schaaf-Olson tendered her resignation from her judicial position, ending her tenure under a cloud of controversy.

The incident has since sparked conversations across Arizona about the ethical standards expected of judicial officers and how personal conduct outside the courtroom can impact public confidence in the justice system.

Authorities have yet to confirm whether any disciplinary action beyond her resignation will follow.
