EDC Opens Registration for GPT and PSLAT 2026 Examinations for Candidates
The Examinations Development Center (EDC) has officially announced the commencement of registration for the 2026 General Placement Test (GPT) and Primary School Leaving Assessment Test (PSLAT) for candidates across the state.
According to the EDC, registration for both examinations began on November 18, 2025, and will close on February 17, 2026. The examinations are tentatively scheduled for March 11, 2026, providing schools and candidates ample time to complete the registration process.
Candidates are required to use their school’s ABSSIN number when making registration payments. The EDC has emphasized that late registrations will not be accepted, underlining the importance of adhering to the stated deadlines.
Mrs. Kanu U. P, Director of Examinations at EDC, has called on Zonal and Area Inspectors of Education to actively sensitize and mobilize schools to participate in the registration process. She highlighted the policy of “No GPT, No PSLAT”, stressing the need for timely remittances and prompt online registration.
