Armed bandits have abducted five people, including two women, during an attack on Gidan Maman Bazamfare in Zamafarawa, Kwukun Waje district of Bungudu Local Government Area, Zamfara State.

The incident, which happened around 6 p.m. on Friday, was contained in a post shared by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Saturday on X.

According to the report, the gunmen, armed with AK-47 rifles and other dangerous weapons, stormed the community and kidnapped two wives of a resident identified as Lawal namely Hajo Lawal and Kulu Lawal.

The attackers were also said to have abducted three other people along Karkarar Dadin Zama village while heading to their hideout.

Security agencies have reportedly intensified efforts to trace the victims and ensure their safe rescue.
