Oluebube Obio Claims She Was Forced to Attend APC Campaign, Raises Safety Concerns
Nollywood actress Oluebube Obio has sparked concern among her fans and followers after alleging that she was forced to attend an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign event despite feeling uncomfortable and stressed at the gathering.
The actress made the disclosure while responding to criticism and questions from Nigerians who had seen videos of her at the political event and questioned her presence there.
Following the circulation of the videos on social media, some Nigerians expressed surprise over her appearance at the APC gathering, with several people seeking clarification on whether her attendance was voluntary.
In response, Oluebube suggested that the circumstances surrounding her presence at the event were different from what viewers may have assumed from the videos.
The actress alleged that she had been forced to appear at such settings and expressed concern about her personal safety. She also claimed that she was being blackmailed by individuals whose identities she did not disclose.
According to Oluebube, she would eventually reveal the people she accused of blackmailing her when she believes the time is right.
She further appealed to her supporters and followers to pray for her, stressing that she was uncomfortable and under considerable emotional pressure during the event.
Oluebube wrote: “I was actually forced to be in such settings, my life and safety is not guaranteed, if you watch the video closely, I myself felt so much discomfort and stressed up.
“When the time is right I will expose the people blackmailing me, the least you can do is to pray for me.”
The statement has generated fresh reactions online, particularly because the actress did not provide specific details about who allegedly forced her to attend the campaign or the nature of the alleged blackmail.
Oluebube also did not identify anyone she accused of threatening her safety or explain what she believed could happen to her if she refused to attend the event.
Her comments have consequently raised questions about the circumstances surrounding the political gathering and what may have occurred before, during or after her appearance.
For now, the actress has indicated that she intends to disclose more information at a later time, leaving her followers waiting for further clarification 
about the allegations.
