Three killed in fresh bandit attack in Nasarawa

Three people have been killed in an ambush by suspected bandits in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The victims, identified as Tailor Gayu, Zacharia Wudu, and James Delle Iwala, were attacked while travelling to Atukpo community, a Koro settlement in Doma, on Monday morning.

According to residents, the trio left their community around 8 a.m. for an errand before they were waylaid and killed by the attackers, who also stole their motorcycle.

A relative of one of the deceased, Mr. Nathaniel Ajeh, told reporters that their bodies were discovered by farmers on their way to the farm.

He described the killings as tragic, calling on security agencies to track down the perpetrators and ensure justice is served. “they went out early in the morning, not knowing it would be their last. We are deeply pained. The government must act fast to stop these senseless killings,” he said.

The incident occurred barely two days after Governor Abdullahi Sule vowed to clamp down on criminal elements infiltrating Nasarawa State.
