Tompolo Donates 50 Vehicles to Tinubu’s Door-to-Door Movement in Kano Ahead of 2027 Elections
Chairman of Tantita Security Services, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo or Government, has donated 50 vehicles to the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Kano State as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The vehicles were formally presented in Kano on Sunday and are expected to support political mobilisation across the state’s 44 Local Government Areas, providing transportation and logistical support for the movement’s activities at the grassroots.
The initiative is part of the broader strategy of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement to expand its presence across communities and build a structured grassroots network ahead of the elections.
Representatives of the movement, speaking on behalf of Tompolo, said the organisation was established to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid while taking the policies and programmes of the administration directly to residents.
The movement is also planning to establish coordinators and ambassadors across different levels of the grassroots, including at polling-unit level, as it intensifies its door-to-door engagement strategy.
The deployment of the vehicles is expected to enhance the movement’s ability to reach communities, coordinate field activities and facilitate interaction between its campaign structures and residents across Kano State.
Receiving the vehicles, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf said they would be deployed to strengthen existing political structures and groups across the state as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.
“These vehicles being presented today will be deployed to support our political structures and groups across the state, across the political local government areas, as we prepare for the 2027 general elections,” Yusuf said.
The governor further highlighted the importance of mobility in grassroots political engagement, noting that campaign officials require adequate logistical support to effectively reach communities spread across the state.
Yusuf also urged political actors to conduct their campaigns peacefully and focus on issues, programmes and records rather than personal attacks, as political activities increase ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Kano presentation forms part of a wider rollout of campaign logistics by the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement across northern states.
Earlier in September, the movement presented 34 campaign vehicles in Katsina State. It subsequently unveiled 44 vehicles alongside other campaign materials in Borno State, reflecting an expanding mobilisation structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
With the latest donation in Kano, the movement is positioning its grassroots structures for wider community-level engagement, particularly through its proposed network of coordinators, ambassadors and polling-
unit representatives.
