Thierry Henry Relists Lavish Manhattan Penthouse for $25 Million After Nearly 15 Years of Ownership
Soccer icon Thierry Henry is making another attempt to sell his spectacular Manhattan penthouse, putting the luxurious Soho property back on the market for $25 million after previously withdrawing it from sale.
The former Arsenal and FC Barcelona star and his partner, Andrea Rajacic, have relisted the sprawling residence at 39 Crosby Street, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The extraordinary property spans approximately 6,086 square feet and features five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two powder rooms and about 3,400 square feet of private outdoor space.
Henry originally purchased the penthouse and the apartment directly below it for $14.85 million in 2010, around the time he left Barcelona and moved to the United States to join the New York Red Bulls. The couple later combined the two units to create the expansive, multi-level residence they own today.
The property reportedly became theirs after an exhausting day of apartment hunting in Manhattan. With the couple seemingly ready to call it a day, their agent persuaded them to view one final property on Crosby Street. That final viewing proved decisive.
The penthouse immediately captured their attention, offering spectacular views over Manhattan and toward landmarks including the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges.
Henry and Rajacic lived in the residence full-time for approximately five years before moving to London following Henry’s retirement from professional football in late 2014. They retained the New York property and continued to use it during visits to the city, although their trips gradually became less frequent.
The couple first placed the penthouse on the market last year for $26.75 million but eventually removed it without a sale. It has now returned with a reduced asking price of $25 million, representing a $1.75 million reduction from its previous listing.
Despite the decision to sell, Henry has maintained a strong emotional connection to the property, describing their departure from New York as difficult.
The home has undergone several renovations over the years, including another round of improvements completed this year.
Its principal living level boasts soaring ceilings of approximately 14 feet, extensive walls of glass, a gas fireplace and access to a terrace. From the residence, occupants can take in sweeping views extending from the Brooklyn Bridge to One World Trade Center, as well as the distinctive rooftops of historic Soho.
The private rooftop terrace adds another layer of luxury, featuring a pergola, barbecue area and dedicated spaces for outdoor dining and relaxation. In total, the residence offers four private outdoor spaces and nearly 360-degree exposures.
Perhaps one of its most unusual features, however, is located below the living spaces.
The property comes with two deeded parking spaces and private keyed elevator access, allowing residents to travel directly from the garage to the penthouse, an exceptionally rare convenience in Soho. The residence also includes approximately 250 square feet of private storage.
Henry’s primary suite occupies an entire level and includes its own private terrace, while several additional living and entertainment areas are distributed across the home’s multiple floors.
The penthouse sits atop a boutique cast-iron and brick building originally designed by architect Edward H. Kendall in the 1870s. The historic structure was later converted into condominiums in 2010.
The listing is being handled by Joshua Judge, Glenn Norrgard and Samantha Sitinas of Sotheby’s International Realty.
After years of holding onto the property despite previous attempts to sell, Henry and Rajacic are now seeking $25 million for the one-of-a-kind Soho residence that has remained part of 
their New York story since 2010.
