Abia State Government Convenes Strategic Business Roundtable to Drive Investment and Sustainable Economic Growth
The Abia State Government has announced plans to host the Abia Business Roundtable 2026, a high-level engagement platform aimed at strengthening collaboration between government and the business community to promote sustainable economic growth, stimulate investment, and accelerate economic transformation across the state.
The event, themed “Government Meets Business: Where Vision Meets Enterprise,” is scheduled to hold on Thursday, March 5, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia.
The Roundtable will be chaired by the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, who also serves as Chairman of the Governing Council of the PPP and Investment Promotion Office. He will be joined by the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the PPP and Investment Promotion Office and Executive Vice Chairman of the Governing Council, Mr. Chinedum Chijioke.
The strategic engagement is expected to highlight the key policy directions and growth trajectory of the present administration, while fostering real-time conversations with business leaders and investors. It will also provide a direct dialogue platform between the Governor, members of his economic management team, and stakeholders within the private sector.
According to the press release, the Roundtable reflects the administration’s commitment to empowering enterprises, strengthening public-private partnerships, and positioning Abia as a premier destination for sustainable investment and inclusive prosperity.
