ABSG Intensifies Work on Three Specialist Hospitals Across Aba, Umuahia, and Umunneator as Projects Upgraded to World-Class Standards

The Abia State Government (ABSG) has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering top-tier healthcare infrastructure, as construction work on three specialist hospitals located in Aba, Umuahia, and Umunneator progresses steadily.

According to the Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, the State Executive Council recently reviewed the ongoing construction projects to ensure significant upgrades in the facilities of the hospitals, aligning them with world-class standards.

Prince Kanu made this known on Monday at Government House, Umuahia, while briefing journalists on the outcome of this week’s State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Alex Otti.

He explained that the review exercise was aimed at enhancing the quality, functionality, and sustainability of the hospital structures, with a focus on providing cutting-edge medical services and improving healthcare delivery across the state.

The move underscores Governor Alex Otti’s administration’s drive to reposition Abia’s healthcare system by ensuring residents have access to modern medical facilities and expert care within the state.
