Chioma Abia Political Structure Inaugurates Aba South LGA Executives Amid Heavy Rain, Reaffirms Support for Governor Alex Otti’s 2027 Re-election.
In what has been described as a show of political strength and unwavering loyalty, the Chioma Abia Political Structure on Thursday inaugurated its Aba South Local Government Area executive despite a heavy downpour that swept across Aba.
The colourful ceremony, held at the Lady Priscilla Otti Pavilion (Women’s Square) located within the Aba South Local Government Council headquarters, attracted a large turnout of party faithful, community leaders, and government officials, all united in their commitment to the political ideals of Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.
Delivering his address, the Executive Chairman of Aba South Local Government Area, Hon. Obialor Denis Anyanwu, commended the courage and enthusiasm of the newly inaugurated executives who defied the rain to witness the event. He urged them to move into their respective wards and intensify grassroots mobilization for Governor Otti’s re-election come 2027.
Hon. Anyanwu reminded the members that their resilience under the rain was symbolic of the steadfastness required in the political struggle, urging them to maintain the same spirit even under the sun. He congratulated the new executives and charged them to sustain the momentum of support for the governor’s visionary leadership.
Speaking as Chairman of the occasion, Chief Christopher Eriobu expressed confidence that the 2027 governorship election in Abia State would be a “walkover” for Governor Alex Otti. He noted that the governor’s performance in all sectors has endeared him to the people, adding that even casual conversations at local football pitches in Aba reflect the widespread satisfaction with Otti’s administration.
In his remarks, the Leader of the Chioma Abia Political Structure, Hon. Okeoma Nwogbe, recounted the humble beginnings of the structure, which originated from Umuehim-Nvosi, the home community of Governor Otti. According to him, what started as a brotherly support group for Dr. Otti’s political ambition has today transformed into a formidable, state-wide political movement.
He charged the new Aba South executives to remain steadfast, disciplined, and focused on the primary goal of ensuring Governor Otti’s re-election in 2027.
Hon. Nwogbe concluded with his popular slogan, “Nkweta’N Dire 2027”, to a thunderous applause from the crowd.
Also speaking, Hon. Kingsley Nwachukwu, the State Coordinator of Chioma Abia, reminded the newly inaugurated members of their strategic role in grassroots mobilization. He encouraged them to uphold the structure’s values of diligence, unity, and loyalty while discharging their responsibilities.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Hon. Martins Azubuike (Deputy Chairman, Aba South LGA), Rt. Hon. Prince Paul Nwandu (Leader, Aba South Legislative Council), Chief Chikodi Alozie (Abia South Zonal Coordinator, Chioma Abia), Hon. Napoleon Ahuruonye (Supervisory Councillor for Information, Aba South LGA), and a representative of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Transport, Comrade Ken “Chiboy” Nwosu, who also serves as the Secretary of the Abia State Tricycle Operators Union (ASTOPU), Aba Zone.
The event, which combined political enthusiasm with cultural vibrancy, was ably anchored by Hon. Tony Agbayim and the ever-vibrant MC Skye, who kept the audience engaged despite the rainy weather.
The inauguration ended with a resounding commitment from members to continue projecting the ideals of good governance, transparency, and people-centered leadership that Governor Alex Otti represents, a clear signal that the Chioma Abia Political Structure remains a vital pillar of support for the adminis
tration ahead of 2027.
