ASTOPU Umuahia Zone Chairman, Hon. Chinweotito Godson Appolos, Congratulates Abia Transport Commissioner, Dr. Chimezie Ukaegbu, on CIOTA Direct Fellowship Award

The Chairman of the Abia State Tricycle Operators Union (ASTOPU), Umuahia Zone, Hon. Chinweotito Godson Appolos, has heartily congratulated the Honourable Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu, on his conferment with the prestigious Direct Fellowship (FInstTA) of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (CIOTA).

Hon. Appolos described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Dr. Ukaegbu’s exemplary leadership, professionalism, and visionary contributions to the transformation of Abia’s transport system under the dynamic administration of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.

According to the Umuahia Zone Chairman, “The Direct Fellowship award conferred on our indefatigable Commissioner is not only a personal honour but a collective pride for all transport stakeholders and operators in Abia State. It reflects Dr. Ukaegbu’s unwavering commitment to excellence, reform, and innovation in the transport sector.”

Hon. Appolos commended the President/Chairman of Council, Prince (Dr.) Segun Ochuko Obayendo, and the entire leadership of CIOTA for recognizing Dr. Ukaegbu’s sterling achievements and impactful contributions to transport administration in Nigeria.

He further stated that the award serves as an inspiration to all tricycle operators across the state, reminding them of the value of discipline, order, and professionalism in driving a modern and efficient transport system.

While felicitating with the Commissioner, Hon. Appolos reaffirmed the unwavering support and loyalty of ASTOPU Umuahia Zone to the Ministry of Transport, pledging continued collaboration towards sustaining the policies that promote safety, orderliness, and growth within Abia’s transport ecosystem.
