HON. PROMISE IROABUEKE HOSTS LABOUR PARTY PRO-GROUP COORDINATORS IN ABA NORTH, REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR GOVERNOR ALEX OTTI’S RE-ELECTION AGENDA

The General Coordinator of all Political Pro-groups under the Labour Party in Aba North Local Government Area, Hon. Promise N. Iroabueke, on Monday, 3rd of October, 2025, hosted an extensive interactive meeting with several coordinators of various pro-Labour Party support groups at his private residence in Aba North.

 

The strategic gathering was aimed at reviewing the progress of the current local government administration led by the Executive Chairman of Aba North LGA, Hon. Timothy Kalu Iheke, assessing achievements recorded so far, and outlining upcoming developmental programs. The meeting also served as a unifying platform for pro-groups to deliberate on the political direction ahead of the 2027 general elections.

 

Among the numerous political support movements represented were Abia Arise, Peter Obi Movement, Women of Goodwill, Obiaba for Good Governance, Liberation Movement, Chioma Abia Initiative, Chinedu Onyezu Foundation, Peter Obi Integrity Network and Transformation Team, Peter Obi Support Network, among others, reflecting the depth and diversity of the Labour Party’s grassroots engagement in Aba North.

 

In his opening remarks, Hon. Iroabueke expressed profound gratitude to all coordinators for their commitment and solidarity in honouring his invitation. He emphasized the need for continued synergy among all pro-groups as the political atmosphere gradually shapes up towards 2027. He further highlighted that the meeting’s key objective was to strengthen the party’s grassroots mobilization structure in anticipation of Governor Alex Chioma Otti’s possible re-election bid, should he declare interest to contest again.

 

According to him, the pro-groups remain vital engines in sustaining the Governor’s transformative agenda across the state. He reassured attendees that all groups will be fully integrated into future political activities, campaigns, and mobilization efforts once the next electoral season officially commences.

 

Hon. Iroabueke also revealed plans to convene a general assembly of all pro-group coordinators, which will include representatives from various market chapters within Aba North, to further harmonize strategies and foster unity among supporters of the Labour Party.

 

The atmosphere was lively as participants engaged in productive brainstorming sessions, enjoyed refreshments, and exchanged goodwill messages in a spirit of comradeship and shared purpose.

 

While appreciating the Executive Chairman of Aba North, Hon. Timothy Kalu Iheke, for entrusting him with the responsibility of serving as the Supervisory Councillor for Finance, Hon. Iroabueke pledged continued loyalty and dedication to the administration’s vision of effective governance and community development.

 

Dignitaries present at the meeting included Hon. Obiagwu Cornel, Deputy Coordinator of All Political Pro-groups under the Labour Party in Aba North; Hon. Okeoma Nwogbe, Supervisory Councillor for Works; Rev. Azu Oko; Mrs. Rosemary Uwajery; Hon. Kennedy Okafor, former Transition Committee Councillor for Industrial Ward 02; among other notable party loyalists, stakeholders and leaders.

 

The meeting ended on a high note, reaffirming unity, cooperation, and unwavering commitment towards sustaining the Labour Party’s dominance in Aba North and Abia State at large under the visionary leadership of Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR.
