Israel Releases Footage of Airstrike That Killed Terrorist Linked to Abduction of Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or
The Israel Police on Sunday, September 27, 2026, released footage showing the airstrike that killed Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, the terrorist identified by Israeli authorities as the motorcycle driver involved in the abduction of Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or from the Nova music festival during the October 7 massacre.
The newly released footage shows Israeli forces tracking Sakr before carrying out what authorities described as a precise aerial strike. The footage captures the moment the strike hits its target, sending a large plume of smoke into the air.
The Israel Defense Forces and Shin Bet confirmed that Sakr was killed in Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip during a joint operation involving the Gideonim Unit 33 of the Israel Police’s Lahav 433 crime-fighting division.
According to a joint statement issued by the Israeli security agencies, Sakr was affiliated with global jihad organizations operating in Gaza and had supplied weapons to Hamas during the war.
“The terrorist infiltrated Israeli territory during the Oct. 7 massacre and served as the motorcycle driver who abducted Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or from the Nova festival into the Gaza Strip,” the statement said.
Israeli authorities further alleged that Sakr had remained involved in attacks in recent months, saying he worked with members of the military wings of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad to advance attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
The Israeli agencies described those activities as repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement and said the airstrike was carried out to eliminate what they considered an ongoing threat.
“The terrorist was eliminated from the air in order to remove the threat he posed,” the statement added.
Sakr’s identification is particularly significant because of his alleged role in one of the most widely recognized hostage-abduction incidents from the October 7 attack.
Argamani’s abduction became one of the defining images of the massacre after video footage showed her being taken into the Gaza Strip on the back of a motorcycle while pleading for her life, with terrorists surrounding her and Or.
The images of the abduction circulated widely around the world and became a major part of the international attention surrounding the hostages taken during the October 7 attack.
Argamani was subsequently rescued eight months later during Operation Arnon, an Israeli operation in the Nuseirat area that freed four hostages.
Following her rescue, Argamani continued to campaign publicly for the release of the remaining hostages, including Avinatan Or.
Or was eventually returned to Israel as part of a hostage deal on October 13, 2025, bringing to an end a prolonged period of captivity that began with his abduction from the Nova festival.
