In a recent global study published by the World Population Review, Nigeria has been listed among the countries with the highest testosterone levels, reaffirming the nation’s place within the upper tier of biologically robust male populations across the world.

The report ranked countries based on average testosterone levels measured in nanograms per deciliter (ng/dL), offering an intriguing insight into global variations in male hormone levels across continents. Testosterone, a key hormone associated with vitality, strength, and reproductive health, serves as a major biological indicator of male well-being and performance.

According to the data, Uzbekistan tops the global chart with an impressive 773 ng/dL, followed by Croatia at 752 ng/dL, and Cameroon in third place with 731 ng/dL — the highest in Africa. Other high-ranking nations include Azerbaijan (694 ng/dL), Mongolia (693 ng/dL), and Ethiopia (671 ng/dL).

Nigeria proudly features with an average testosterone level of 625 ng/dL, positioning it as one of the top-performing nations in Africa and the world. This places Nigeria ahead of several European countries such as the Netherlands (571 ng/dL), Serbia (570 ng/dL), and Denmark (566 ng/dL) — all traditionally known for their strong healthcare and nutrition systems.

Other African nations that made the list include the Democratic Republic of Congo (668 ng/dL), Sudan (588 ng/dL), Uganda (586 ng/dL), and Ghana (569 ng/dL) — further underscoring the continent’s representation among the world’s leading testosterone-rich populations.

Analysts suggest that genetics, diet, environmental factors, and lifestyle differences may play crucial roles in determining testosterone levels across populations. While the report doesn’t directly link higher testosterone levels to overall health or dominance, it reflects biological and environmental conditions that shape male hormonal balance globally.

With Nigeria’s inclusion in this ranking, the country joins a select group of nations characterized by strong biological resilience and vitality, adding yet another dimension to the country’s diverse global profile.
