ABIA STATE GOVT SET FOR HISTORIC DIGITAL BREAKTHROUGH IN AGRICULTURE AS GOV. ALEX OTTI TO FORMALLY LAUNCH THE ABIA AGRICULTURE DYNAMIC DATABASE SYSTEM (ABIA-ADDS) ON DECEMBER 11
Abia State is set to take a landmark step in transforming its agricultural sector as Governor Alex Otti will on Thursday, December 11, 2025, officially unveil the Abia Agriculture Dynamic Database System (ABIA ADDS), a fully digitized platform designed to revolutionize data management and farmer support across the state.
The digital innovation, powered through the Abia State Ministry of Agriculture, marks a new era in comprehensive agricultural planning. The platform is tailored to enhance precise data collection, verification of genuine farmers, effective planning for food production, and targeted intervention across all Local Government Areas.
In an official statement issued by the honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Cliff Agbaeze, the initiative is described as a cutting-edge milestone for the state.
According to the Commissioner: “Abia Adds represents a major step towards building a modern, data-driven, and technology-enabled agricultural sector that will support increased productivity, food security, and economic growth across the State.”
The launch will take place at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Umuahia, and will feature activities that signal a new direction for agriculture in Abia State.
