The Chairman of the Abia State Tricycle Operators Union (ASTOPU), Aba Zone, Comrade Victor Azubuike, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Aba, Abia State and across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-ul-Mawlid.
Azubuike described the occasion, which commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, as a significant period for spiritual reflection and renewed commitment to the timeless virtues of peace, love, humility, compassion, justice and selfless service to humanity.
In his goodwill message, the ASTOPU Aba Zonal Chairman urged the Muslim Ummah to use the sacred occasion to offer prayers for lasting peace, unity, security and prosperity in Abia State and Nigeria.
He stressed the need for Nigerians to continue promoting peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding, irrespective of religious, ethnic and cultural differences, noting that the nation’s strength lies in the ability of its diverse people to live and work together in harmony.
Comrade Azubuike particularly called on residents of Aba to sustain the spirit of brotherhood and cooperation that has continued to define the commercial city, describing unity as a critical ingredient for sustainable peace, development and prosperity.
According to him, Aba, as a major centre of commerce and enterprise, requires the collective commitment of all residents to build a safer and more prosperous society where every individual, regardless of faith or background, can thrive.
The ASTOPU Aba Zonal Chairman also reassured members of the Muslim community, especially tricycle operators and other stakeholders in the transport sector, of the union’s commitment to fostering harmony, cooperation and the collective welfare of all.
He prayed that the teachings and virtues associated with the Holy Prophet Muhammad would continue to inspire hope, strengthen faith and encourage greater love, tolerance and unity among the people.
Azubuike wished Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration, urging them to allow the lessons of the occasion to continue guiding their relationships and contributions towards the development of Aba, Abia State and Nigeria at large.
