Hon. Uchenna Samuel Launches Massive “Back to School” Drive in Ovungwu Ward 8, Empowering Students with Learning Materials and School Uniforms

In a remarkable display of community-focused leadership, the Honourable Councillor representing Ovungwu Ward 8 at the Isiala Ngwa South Legislative Council, Hon. Uchenna Samuel, has officially launched a comprehensive “Back to School” initiative across the ward’s primary and secondary schools.

The initiative, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and supporting local students, saw Hon. Samuel personally visiting 11 schools within Ovungwu Ward. During the tour, he distributed essential exercise books to every school, ensuring that students are well-equipped to begin the academic year on a strong note.

A highlight of the program was Ovungwu Secondary School, which received a complete roll of white school uniforms, symbolizing the commitment of the councillor to improving both the welfare and morale of students. 

In addition, Hon. Samuel pledged to sponsor WAEC registration fees for the top five SS3 students at both Ovungwu Secondary School and Amaede Secondary School, rewarding academic excellence and encouraging a culture of high achievement among students.

During his address, the councillor encouraged students to actively engage with their families on the ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration, emphasizing the importance of civic participation and exercising their right to vote, especially in support of governor Alex Chioma Otti’s vision for continued development.
