RE: Aba Set for Historic Film Revolution as “Chronicles of Enyimba City” Casting Begins Tomorrow
The city of Aba is preparing for a major cinematic moment as the Aba Made Film Project, alongside renowned Abia-born Nollywood stars and the Abia State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, unveils plans for the casting and homecoming event for a historic movie project titled The Chronicles of Enyimba City.
The highly anticipated film, described as a historical movie centered on the rich heritage and story of Aba, is expected to bring together talented actors, filmmakers, creatives, and entertainment stakeholders from across Nigeria.
The casting exercise and actors’ homecoming event will take place at the Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Auditorium, formerly known as Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, 2026.
Organizers announced that activities will commence by 10:00 a.m. prompt on both days, with expectations already building among movie enthusiasts and aspiring actors eager to participate in the groundbreaking production.
The project is being technically directed by renowned filmmaker and scholar, Prospect Mlemchukwu, PhD, whose involvement is seen as a major boost to the credibility and creative depth of the production.
Industry observers believe the project will not only showcase Aba’s historical and cultural significance but also create fresh opportunities for young talents in the entertainment industry while positioning Abia State as a growing hub for film and creative enterprise.
