ABIA GOVERNMENT OPENS EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME.
The Abia State Government has announced a call for qualified secondary school graduates to express interest in the 2025 Russian Government Scholarship Programme. The initiative is being coordinated through the Ministry of Tertiary Education, with the goal of providing Abia students access to globally competitive learning opportunities in one of the world’s leading educational destinations.
According to the Ministry, the offer forms part of the present administration’s broader commitment to human capital development, international collaborations, and educational advancement for talented young Abians. The programme targets academic development across diverse fields, with emphasis on building expertise that will drive growth in critical sectors of the state’s economy.
Interested candidates are expected to complete the designated expression of interest form through the official government link provided by the ministry: https://abiastate.gov.ng/ministryoftertiaryeducation.
It was further emphasized that the current application is strictly for data collation and verification purposes, and does not serve as an automatic guarantee for selection into the scholarship programme. Only eligible applicants who meet the required standards will be contacted for the next phase of the process.
Qualified Abia secondary school graduates who wish to pursue higher education abroad are urged to make submissions without delay as the process has been declared urgent.
